When he leaves the gym and portrait sessions of Creole models with full-body tattoos, Philippe likes to go by motorbike to the ruins of memorial sites in Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni or Devil's Island, or to go down the Oyapock River by dugout, on the border with Brazil. In the everyday life, he enjoys illustrating the ethnic and cultural mixing of the inhabitants of this overseas territory and their neighbours in Suriname.
